What is my primal astrology animal? Find your animal guide easy!

You know, I stumbled across this term the other day, “Primal Astrology,” and it kinda stuck in my head. I’m always a sucker for these personality things, even if I take them with a huge pinch of salt. So, I thought, why not? Let’s see what animal I supposedly am in this system. It sounded like a bit of fun, a little internet adventure for the afternoon.

My Little Investigation Process

So, the first thing I did was try to figure out what this Primal Astrology even was. A quick search told me it’s basically a mash-up of your regular Western zodiac sign (you know, like Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, all that jazz) and your Chinese zodiac animal (like Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, etc.). Okay, interesting concept. Two for the price of one!

To get my primal animal, I realized I needed two key pieces of information about myself:

  • My Western Sun Sign: This is based on your birth date.
  • My Chinese Zodiac Animal: This is based on your birth year.

Figuring out my Western sun sign was a piece of cake. I’ve known my birthday my whole life, obviously, so pinning down that I’m a Libra was no trouble at all. That part was super straightforward.

Next up was the Chinese zodiac animal. This one needed my birth year. I had a vague idea, but I wanted to be sure. I remembered reading somewhere that the Chinese New Year doesn’t start on January 1st, so if you’re born early in the year, you might actually be the animal from the previous year. Good thing I checked! I hopped online and looked for a reliable Chinese zodiac calculator. Popped in my birth year, and it confirmed I’m a Rooster. So, Libra and Rooster. Got it.

Alright, armed with “Libra” and “Rooster,” the next step was to find out what those two combine to make in Primal Astrology. This took a bit more digging. I searched for things like “Primal Astrology combinations” or “Libra Rooster primal animal.” I waded through a few pages, some more confusing than others, not gonna lie.

Finally, I found a site that had a big ol’ list. You basically looked up your Sun sign, then found your Chinese animal under it, and it would tell you your Primal Animal. I scrolled down, found Libra, then looked for Rooster. And there it was!

So, What Animal Am I?

Turns out, according to this system, a Libra Rooster combination makes me a Peacock. A Peacock! I had to laugh a little. It wasn’t what I was expecting at all, but hey, peacocks are pretty flamboyant, right?

I read the description they had for the Peacock. Some bits I found surprisingly accurate, made me nod and go “huh, yeah, that sounds a bit like me.” Other parts, not so much, which is pretty standard for these kinds of things. It talked about being artistic, needing admiration, and sometimes being a bit vain. I can see bits of that, maybe! It was definitely entertaining to read through it.

Overall, it was a fun little exercise. I don’t think I’ll be basing my life choices on being a “Primal Peacock” anytime soon, but it was an interesting way to spend an hour. Just another one of those quirky internet things that catches your eye. It was cool to go through the motions and see what popped out. If you’re curious, it’s pretty easy to look up your own! Just need that birthday and birth year.
