Okay, so you guys know I’m super into astrology, right? Like, not just the “read your horoscope and see if it’s vaguely true” kind of into it. I’m talking DEEP DIVE into charts, aspects, and all that jazz. Lately, I’ve been playing around with using astrology to see how many kids I might have. Sounds crazy, I know! But hear me out.
First thing I did was pull up my natal chart. You can do this on a bunch of free websites; just Google “free natal chart calculator.” You’ll need your birth date, time, and location. Accuracy is key here; even a few minutes off can change things. I already had mine saved, so I was good to go.
Next, I started looking at the traditional indicators for children in astrology. A big one is the 5th house. This house rules creativity, romance, and, you guessed it, children. I checked what sign my 5th house cusp (the beginning of the house) was in. Mine’s in Libra. Libra is ruled by Venus, so then I checked where Venus was in my chart. It’s a whole chain reaction, haha!
Then, I looked at the planets in my 5th house. This is where things get interesting. I had Pluto lurking in there. Pluto is all about transformation and intensity. Some astrologers say Pluto can indicate a difficult or transformative experience related to children. Others say it can mean fewer children, but with very strong bonds. So, that was a head-scratcher.
After that, I checked aspects to my 5th house ruler (Venus) and any planets inside the 5th house (Pluto). Aspects are the angles planets make to each other. Some aspects are considered harmonious (like trines and sextiles), and others are considered challenging (like squares and oppositions). Pluto was squaring my Mars. Squares are tension-filled, so that suggested some potential challenges or delays.
Here’s where it got REALLY interesting: I started researching different astrological techniques for estimating the number of children. I found a few different methods, and they gave me wildly different results. One method involved counting the number of fertile signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) that had planets in them related to my 5th house. Another involved looking at the sign on my Descendant (the opposite point of my Ascendant) and seeing if it was fertile. It was all so complicated!
- Method 1 gave me a potential of 3 kids.
- Method 2 suggested only 1.
- And another method said potentially none!
So, what did I learn? Astrology can give you some clues and insights, but it’s not a crystal ball. It’s definitely not a substitute for making real-life decisions. Plus, I’m still learning, so I could be totally interpreting things wrong! What I did find interesting was that the challenging aspects and the presence of Pluto in my 5th house seemed to point towards a potentially complex or transformative experience related to parenthood. Whether that means fewer kids, challenges in conceiving, or something else entirely, I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
Honestly, this whole exercise was more about exploring the depths of my own chart and understanding the potential energies at play in my life. I wouldn’t take it as gospel, but it was a fun and thought-provoking experiment. And hey, who knows? Maybe one day I’ll look back on this and say, “Wow, astrology was right all along!” But for now, I’m just enjoying the journey.
