Alright, let’s talk about this May 10th horoscope thing. I usually just skim these, you know? Sometimes for a laugh. But this time, for the 10th, I thought, what the heck, let’s actually see what happens if I pay a bit of attention. Sort of a little experiment, my own personal practice run.
What the Stars Said (Apparently)
So, for my sign, the forecast for May 10th was pretty specific. It was screaming money, money, money. Like, this was THE day to look at my finances, maybe ask for what I’m worth, or have those slightly awkward chats about cash. Lucky colors were big too – green was top of the list. They also mentioned pink and white, saying something about honesty and kindness. Interesting, right? And get this, it said my luck would peak on Saturday, May 10th. And it actually was a Saturday, which felt a bit like the universe was trying to be extra obvious.
The numbers 1 and 9 were also supposed to be lucky. I didn’t go as far as carrying silver objects with numbers on them, but I kept it in mind. Emeralds too, for good fortune, but I don’t have any of those lying around, unfortunately.
Putting it to the Test
So, Saturday morning, May 10th. I woke up, remembered the horoscope. First thought: “Okay, financial focus.” I had this one client, super nice folks, but they were a bit behind on an invoice. Not a huge deal, but, you know, it’s always a bit of a dance bringing it up. The horoscope saying “boldly ask for what you deserve” kind of echoed in my head.
And the green color? I actually do have a few green shirts. I picked one out. Figured, can’t hurt, right? It wasn’t an emerald, but it was green!
This whole thing reminded me of something that happened years ago. It’s funny how these things connect. I wasn’t into horoscopes back then, not at all. I was working at this little company, totally overworked and underpaid. The usual story. I knew I needed to ask for a raise, but I was terrified. Kept putting it off for weeks.

It was my favorite, comfy and familiar. No idea why I chose it that day, probably just because it was clean. I walked into my boss’s office, my hands all sweaty. Back to this May 10th. So, there I was, in my green shirt. I took a deep breath and drafted an email to that client. Kept it polite, just a gentle reminder about the overdue invoice. Hit send. Then, later in the afternoon, I decided to actually call about a small investment thing I’d been pondering. The horoscope did say “discussions around money or investments could open new doors.”
- The email about the invoice? Got a reply within an hour. Super apologetic, said it just slipped their mind. The money was in my account by the end of the day. Nice.
- The call about the investment? Had a really good chat, got some clarity. No new doors swung wide open dramatically, but it felt productive. Like I was taking charge, you know?
So, did the horoscope “work”? Who knows. Maybe it was the green shirt. Maybe it was because May 10th was a Saturday and people were more relaxed. Or maybe, just maybe, reading that horoscope gave me that little nudge, that bit of focus on “financial matters” and “asserting my worth.” Sometimes, I think, these things are just tools. Tools to make you think, or to give you a bit of a push to do something you were already meaning to do.
It was an interesting little experiment, that’s for sure. I don’t think I’ll be living my life by the stars every single day, but it was fun to consciously play along for once. And hey, my invoice got paid!
