So, the other day, I was just kicking back, watching some old tennis highlights, and this random thought just popped into my head: “I wonder if there’s, like, a common star sign among American tennis pros?” You know how these weird little questions can grab you. I figured, why not try and see? It’s not like I had anything better to do for a couple of hours.

My Little Investigation Kicks Off
First thing I did, obviously, was a quick search online. Typed in something like “tennis player astrology signs USA” and, well, let’s just say the internet didn’t just hand me a neat little list. Nope. It was pretty clear if I wanted an answer, I was gonna have to do some digging myself. So, I thought, “Alright, challenge accepted!”
My plan was simple enough:
- Get a list of well-known American tennis players, both past and present.
- Find their birthdays.
- Figure out their zodiac sign from their birthday.
- Tally ’em up.
Sounds easy, right? Well, parts of it were, other parts were a bit of a slog.
Getting Down to Brass Tacks
I started by jotting down all the famous US players I could think of off the top of my head. Then, I went to look up some rankings and lists of notable American players to make sure I wasn’t just relying on my memory. I wanted a decent mix. The key here was USA born players, so I had to keep an eye on their birthplaces too.

Finding birthdays wasn’t too bad, actually. Most of this info is out there on sports sites or those big general knowledge websites. For each player, once I had the birthday, I’d then work out their zodiac sign. You know, like March 21st to April 19th is Aries, and so on. I had a little cheat sheet next to me for that.
I decided to use a simple spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Just columns for Name, Birthday, and then the Zodiac Sign. Slowly but surely, my list started to grow. I wasn’t aiming for hundreds and hundreds, just a good solid number to see if any patterns jumped out. I think I ended up with around 50 or 60 players that I felt confident about the info for.
So, What Did I Find?
Okay, so after all that data entry and cross-referencing, it was time to count ’em up. This was the exciting part! I went through my list and tallied each sign.
And you know what? It was pretty interesting! Now, I’m no statistician, and this was far from a super scientific study, but from my little list, a couple of signs did seem to pop up a bit more than others. I noticed a fair number of Geminis in the mix. That kind of surprised me a little. And then, Virgo also had a pretty strong showing. More than I would have guessed, anyway.
On the flip side, some other signs felt a bit less common in my specific list. But again, it’s a small sample in the grand scheme of things!

It wasn’t like one sign completely dominated or anything, but those two, Gemini and Virgo, definitely caught my eye as appearing more frequently than some of the others in the group of players I looked at.
Just My Two Cents
So, there you have it. That was my little adventure into the world of tennis players and their star signs. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon, just satisfying a bit of curiosity. Don’t take this as gospel, of course! It’s just what I found from my own amateur sleuthing with US-born players.
Could it be pure coincidence? Absolutely. Is my sample size big enough to draw any real conclusions? Probably not. But it was a neat little exercise, and it makes you think, doesn’t it? Sometimes the most random questions lead to the most interesting little projects. Now, back to watching some more tennis!
